enVision Modular Solutions

Volumetric modules and pods

Complete rooms, finished in the factory and craned into place.

How the system works

Volumetric construction builds the building as finished three-dimensional modules. Each module is a complete room or section, with structure, insulation, windows, wiring, plumbing and interior finishes done in the factory. On site, modules are craned onto foundations, joined together and connected to services.

Our prefabricated solutions, from the CORE module to living PODS, combine speed and quality to deliver versatile accommodation. Bathroom and kitchen pods can also be supplied on their own and dropped into other buildings, taking the most complex, time-consuming rooms off site.

Key benefits

Why clients choose this system.

Fastest on site

With most work done in the factory, buildings can be completed on site in weeks.

Highest factory content

More of the building is made under controlled conditions, so quality is consistent.

Less disruption

Short site programmes mean less noise, mess and traffic for neighbours.

Repeatable

Ideal for hotels, villas and accommodation with many similar rooms.

Pods save time

Bathrooms are usually the slowest rooms to build. Pods arrive finished and tested.

Weather-proof

Factory work carries on whatever the weather.

Things to consider

Every system has trade-offs. Here's what we'll talk through with you.

Transport and access

Modules are large, so road access and space for a crane need checking at the start.

Design early

Layouts are fixed before production, so decisions need to be made earlier than in a traditional build.

How a modular building comes together

Built in the factory. Finished on your site.

  1. Built in sections

Each module is made in a controlled factory environment, away from the weather, with strict quality control.

  2. Delivered to site

Finished sections are transported to your site while the groundwork is prepared.

  3. Assembled into one building

Modules are joined into a single, cohesive structure, with site work completed in as little as four weeks.

Volumetric modules & pods: questions answered

What is volumetric modular construction?

Building in complete three-dimensional modules, each a finished room or section, which are craned into place and joined on site.

What is a bathroom pod?

A complete bathroom built and tested in the factory, then delivered as one unit and installed in a building.

How tall can volumetric buildings be?

Single and multi-storey buildings are common, and taller buildings are possible with structural engineering.

Is volumetric more expensive?

It can cost more per unit than simpler systems, but faster completion, consistent quality and less site work often make it better value, especially for hotels, villas and accommodation.
